I’m Mary

For as long as I can remember I had this creative energy just dying to come out. Growing up, I tried different hobbies including piano, guitar, painting, & dancing. I remember drawing on my bedroom walls all the way up through high school (sorry mom), and making scrapbooks + photo collages as gifts for everyone in my life growing up. Although it was fun, nothing I tried ever felt quite like “my thing.”

It was a different feeling the moment I picked up a camera my freshman year of high school.

I started to create everything from stop motion, silly music videos, and short films. Soon, I began to document my own life experiences by bringing my camera on family vacations and creating highlight reels of my own favorite memories. As soon as I showed my family what I created and saw them laugh & cry reliving their happy memories… I knew filming raw moments was my niche.

I started in weddings because it is one of the only days that you get to have everyone you love in one room to celebrate you, your love, and your future. As a filmmaker, my goal is to capture the real moments that make life so beautiful. Whether it's a joyful first look or a quiet moment between loved ones, I want my films to transport you back to that moment and make you feel all the emotions that come with it. It’s a happy day, it’s an emotional day, it’s a day you hold in your heart forever. There is nothing more special to me than capturing true love, and documenting one of the most meaningful days in you and your partner’s life.

behind the lens…

When I'm not filming weddings, I work full-time in university admissions. Outside of work, I’m all about simple pleasures—whether it's spending time by the lake, watching a good documentary, or just relaxing at home with my two cats. I love to travel especially when it involves scenic spots and outdoor adventures. My road trips through California and Iceland have been two of my all-time favorites.

I live in Greater Boston with my boyfriend Mike and our two kitties, Carter and Chestnut. We met during our senior year of college on Halloween night. He is my best friend and biggest supporter!
